I have always loved anything domestic. Decorating, especially, has always been a great passion of mine. It brings me so much joy to incorporate décor that can change the feeling in a space. Over the years, friends and family have supported me and my eye for design, often turning to me for advice when decorating their homes. I love being creative and sharing my ideas with others.
I love setting the tone for a space with fragrance. Scent is one of the first things you notice when you enter a room. The right fragrance can enhance the visual design and make the experience of the room truly magical. My hand-poured candles are the result of hours upon hours of research; combining the science of creating the best burning candles, with the art of selecting the most appealing and complimentary fragrances.
It was obvious, candles and home décor were the perfect combination to plan my future around when I became an empty-nester. I opened an appointment-only boutique in the basement of my home, coining the name Basement Barn Candle Co, as a nod to my favorite home décor style. Thanks to the support of my local customers, my business has grown to a point that it can now be shared with shoppers far and wide.
